Hayward Industries has immediate openings for Assemblers - Machine Operators

Hiring for 1st, 2nd and 3rd shifts, Paid EVERY week! Benefits on your first day. Now offering $1,000 Sign on Bonus

- 1st shift schedule: 5:00 am - 3:30 pm, Monday - Thursday with overtime as scheduled, pay $15 per hour.
- 2nd shift schedule: 2:00 pm - 10:30 pm, Monday - Friday with overtime as scheduled, pay $16 per hour
- 3rd shift schedule: 10 pm - 6:30 am, Sunday - Thursday with overtime as scheduled, pay $16.50 per hour

Job Responsibilities
The Assembly employees perform repetitive work-station or line-assembly operations to produce swimming pool heaters or to assemble those components that will be installed on the heater at the assembly line or will perform work at a sub-assembly work cell. Essential functions of an Assembler include all or any of the following:

- Performs any assembly-type functions, using hand or power tools.
- May operate a press brake to bend/form parts.
- Adjusts, trim and fitting parts to close tolerances.
- Follows visual aids (standard work) to ensure work is correct.
- May perform testing of assembled product.
- Make up cartons, print labels, insert protective packing material, seal finishing product.
- Meet efficiency rates.
- Perform quality checks to ensure quality specifications are met.
- Work within all safety guidelines and wear all required PPE (steel toe shoes, hearing protection and safety glasses).
- Reports defective materials or questionable conditions to the department supervisor or team leader.
- Maintains the work area and equipment in a clean and orderly condition - 5S.
- Must be flexible to rotate job assignments within various work cells.
- Performs related duties as assigned by supervision.

Job Qualifications
1 - 3 yrs. of previous manufacturing assembly experience preferred.
High school diploma or GED; or equivalent combination of education and experience.
Knowledge of simple hand tools.

- Ability to read a limited number of two and three-syllable words and to recognize similarities and differences between words and between a series of numbers.
- Ability to write and speak simple sentences.
- Ability to add and subtract/basic math.
- Ability to apply common sense understanding to carry out simple one or two step instructions.
- Good hand-eye coordination.
- Ability to lift up to 25lb.
- Ability to stand 90% of shift.
